David Grant Medical Center Nuclear Medicine Department Modernization
Travis Air Force Base, CA

Delivery Method: Design Build

Completion Date: 2010 October

A four-phased 2,000+ square-foot remodel project that modernized and replaced DGMC’s Nuclear Medicine Department’s four cameras with two updated cameras and two others with Diagnostic CT modalities: PET/CT and Nuclear Camera/CT. Addressed significant upgrades to the department layout and accounted for and installed radiation protection. All casework and interior finishes were evaluated and brought up to the current hospital design criteria. Installed backlit murals in all four spaces along with all lighting to create a more pleasing environment for the patient. Upgrades to electrical and mechanical were needed to support the CT modalities. Medical gasses were modified or added in all phases to address the department’s current needs. Fire sprinkler layout was adjusted to accommodate equipment layout.
